Counselling and Psychotherapy
A senior Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, Bernice specialises in working with individuals, couples, young people and adult only-children on all aspects of relational difficulties, sexuality, low self-esteem, adoption issues and all types of life-crisis. She has worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 30 years and at present works in private practice. She is also a visiting lecturer for The New School of Psychotherapy and was a trainer with CASCADE Associates. She offers Therapeutic Life Coaching (see TLC page). Bernice is a BACP senior accredited therapist and supervisor.

What is Integrative Therapy?
There is no single method or approach which is effective for all life crisis, or a search for meaning or even personal development. As an integrative therapist, I have completed several trainings in psychodynamic, existential and person-centred approaches. They all inform the way I think and work, although in the room I am primarily a humanistic practitioner, engaging with my client in an encounter where the focus is on his/her exploration. I see my role as a facilitator in a process to promote understanding and to find new ways of being in the world. I seek to establish a partnership with my client rather than attempting to deliver a solution. My approach focuses on the relationship between myself and my client to find creative ways forward.
